“What’s New Year’s again?” Jonny asked, brows wrinkled with perplexion.
“That’s the day we all stay up till midnight, then quietly get up and hang our new calenders,” I replied.
“Oh.”
That’s about it in my book, EXCEPT…
Today is the anniversary of the day that Davey and I got married, fifteen years ago now. It’s been a roller coaster ride, I’ll tell you, and not for the faint of heart, but I love him and I love being his wife. I’m looking forward to another year of life shared with my husband, the man who still gives me butterflies when he looks at me just so, the man who still surprises and impresses me, the man our good Lord made just for me. And I pray that I’ll be a good and worthy wife for him, too.
Happy New Year!
no way! Today is also my husband and my anniversary!
Isn’t it a blessing to share this day with our Blessed Mother?
Happy 15 to you and 5 to me!
Hope your new year is filled with blessings!
You, too, Lina!
WOW! Happy anniversary What an exciting anniversary date!
Ditto what Lillian said. Hard to let that key date slip your memory. And he’s usually off work, too.
Convenient, eh?
Actually, he was stationed at Ft. Carson and I was back in Jersey. He got a four day pass for that weekend, tossed me a ring in the airport, married me the next day, then flew back to Colorado. It was just a convenient weekend
