The Almost Update
Do you want to hear something funny? Last night, I almost typed into my twitter/facebook status: Going offline for the next week. Then I thought, What if I don’t WANT to be offline all week? You know how it is. As soon as you announce a blogging break, you think of a hundred great posts to write. Preplanned absences have a certain pressure all their own. Anyway, not fifteen minutes after I deleted that almost-status, I was given the perfect opportunity to be offline: David needs to borrow my laptop for work and it’ll be out of the house altogether. So there you go. Serendipity. Or Providence.
