Seven year old Rosie was riding in the first bench, where she could see all the happenings of the driver. Noticing that the blinker came on every time we turned, she asked, “How does the car know which way we’re going?”
“Well, I tell it, of course!” I replied.
“Oh,” said Rosie with a knowing smile. “I thought I heard you whispering!”

When we were younger, I always wondered how on earth anyone could remember which way to move the signal to turn. I was really concerned when I was about to drive that I was always going to get it wrong! Little did I know that you just turn it the way you are going to turn the steering wheel. Ahhhh…mystery solved.
I love that she thinks you whisper to the car to tell it which way you are going!
