Young Writers Club Link-Up (Week 3)

Welcome back! I hope you all had fun writing your stories. I guess maybe it wasn’t as strange a prompt as I thought, because all of my children said, “Oh, that’s a good one, Mama!” and got right (or is it write) to work. This week, we were writing

A Story About a Fish, a Princess (or Prince) and a Safety Pin

Did you have to make up your story (fiction) or were you able to write about something that really happened to you? I don’t know any princesses, and in my head, the fish could talk, and I don’t know any talking fish, either. I do use safety pins all the time, though. I could have written a lot about safety pins, but the parts about the princess and the talking fish would have been fictional. I wonder if your fish was a talking fish. Maybe you can link to your story so I can find out. :-)

    Mrs. Cooper,

I found this exercise enjoyable. It pushed me to think of something outside of the box. I also enjoyed the chance to write something with the freedom to write the plot in my own way.

    Thank you,

    Isabella

I completely forgot to check people’s blogs this week. Busy work week and school week and all. We’ll try really really hard to do the next one!
