It's nice to have a cow. :-) I really, really like AI for the cows, but you might be closer to a dairy farm out there that might let you drop her off for "servicing". ;-) My vet carries Jersey semen all the time, and he special ordered some from a registered bull for me and only charges $10 for the service. Or he only charges me $10 for the service. I'm really starting to think he charges based on how much trouble you cause him. :-) Congratulations! He's got a cow/calf operation and most of the calves get sold off in the fall. I think the earliest cows should be bred is 15 months but I think that might also depend on the breed.
